Congratulations! You survived 2020’s pandemic environment. Now it’s time to set and meet ambitious business development goals for your agency or solo practice in 2021. Here’s your chance to learn from three respected business development experts, one from the agency side, one from the client side, and one who advises agencies on how to get more clients. And, if you work in corporate or education, you will get some great insights about what to look for when hiring an agency. For Senior (15+ yrs. Experience) only, please.

Bret Werner, President MWW. Werner joined the agency as Chief Client Officer and Executive Vice President, and quickly ascended to President, leading all geographical locations and practice groups to amplify creative, strategy, client service and implement best management practices for the 200+ person agency.
He has been recognized as a PRWeek 40 Under 40 honoree, as well as in the publication’s Powerbook 500 list for his career accomplishments fueling agency growth and building brands for some of the biggest global companies in the sports and entertainment, food and beverage, and wine and spirits categories.
Chris DeMaria, Head of Home Entertainment PR, LG Electronics, North America. Chris has worked for 15 years in corporate communications including nearly five years at LG. Previously, he was Director/Group Manager-Communications at Panasonic USA. So you know he’s been on the receiving end of some wonderful—and not so wonderful—pitches.
Before going corporate, Chris spent 12 years in agency life, so he’s looked at business development from both sides.
Ken Jacobs, PCC, CPC, Principal, Jacobs Consulting & Executive Coaching, which helps PR and communications agencies grow their business, as well as client service, profitability, and performance.
Jacobs is a regular presenter on business development at PRSA Counselors Academy Spring Conference, Independent Practitioners Alliance section, and chapters across the US.
Prior to launching his company in 2007, Jacobs spent 25+ years in agency management and leadership, at such agencies as Ogilvy & Mather PR, Marina Maher Communications, and Maloney & Fox. At each firm he served on the agency senior leadership team, focusing on business development and marketing.
We’ll have optional virtual coffee and networking at 8:15 am. The expert panel begins at 8:30 am.
