Why Images and Words Matter: Cultural Competency and Messaging
Thursday, December 10, 2020
12:00pm – 1:00pm
via Zoom Meeting; link provided upon registration
Cultural competence is the ability to comprehend, interact, and communicate with individuals regardless of their cultural background. In today’s cultural moment where organizations and individuals are acknowledging systems of oppression, communicators need to shift from awareness to action. While knowing better is important, the act of applying such knowledge and doing better is what stakeholders are now demanding.
This webinar is designed to assist communications by providing them with the tools to identify biases, and better interrogate the ways in which these show up in their communication and marketing practices.
