Each summer, a number of New Jersey colleges and universities graduate a new class of students who have majored in public relations and communications. Many of these graduates have already gained on-the-job PR experience through internships as a way to supplement their classroom training.
This spring, PRSA NJ’s Board committee on Young Professionals actively reached out to senior undergraduates and Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapters statewide to help 2019 graduates launch careers in the PR industry. They were offered discount membership rates for joining the National and New Jersey PRSA chapter, and invited to upcoming PRSA NJ events in order to network directly with more senior PR pros.

New Jersey is fortunate to have active PRSSA chapters at nine leading colleges and universities throughout the state. Employers seeking qualified candidates for entry-level job openings and beyond will be impressed with the technical knowledge and creative talent that many participants in these programs possess.
