On October 26, 2014 representatives from Public Relations Student Societies of America across New Jersey assembled at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. The meet and greet luncheon served as a way for Universities to connect with one another while listening to interesting and relevant speeches from various public relations professionals.
Speakers included Joan M. Bosisio of Stern + Associates and PRSA NJ’s PRSSA liaison and digital chair; Ken Hunter of The Power Station Communications; Brian Hague of MWW; Pam Golden, founder of GLA PR; and Tiffany Knighten, Seton Hall University PRSSA president. Topics of discussion included how to land a job, tips on starting your own on-campus public relations firm, and why enrollment in PRSA post-grad is critical.
Executive board members from Seton Hall University, Farleigh Dickinson University, Rutgers University, the Fashion Institute of Technology, Monmouth University, and Centenary College enjoyed a catered lunch courtesy of Rutgers University Catering Services while engaging in a variety of networking events to better strengthen their relationships. At the conclusion of the event, all Universities left with connections across New Jersey and a promise to continue this inaugural luncheon as an annual event.
