Kean University Becomes Eighth NJ PRSSA Chapter

New Picture

Kean University has become the latest college in New Jersey to join PRSSA. Located in Union, Kean’s School of Communication, Media, and Journalism is home of Morris Ave PR, its nickname for Kean U PRSSA.

Last fall, a group of ten students joined professor and faculty advisor Suzanne Schwab in the process of establishing the chapter. They received their official charter in the Spring, and used this Fall as their kick-off semester. In less than two months, they have surpassed their membership goal and welcomed 30 members.

President and Kean University senior Stacey Cooney said the group is planning both on and off campus initiatives. “Currently, we’re working to establish new relationships within the community,” she said. “Our members have great ideas for campaigns that we are eager to get working on.”

Morris Ave PR holds weekly meetings with high attendance each week. For more information, you can follow the chapter on Twitter at @MorrisAvePR and contact President Stacey Cooney at cooneyst@kean.edu .
